The friendly club

Welcome to the North Shore's friendly Tennis Club

Glenfield Tennis Club is a very relaxed tennis club, located in the Elliot Reserve, on Elliot Street on Auckland's North Shore.  It is steeped in history, having been opened in 1960, with the current site being home to the club since 1969.

Club days

We will be holding club days on every Sunday in August, from 2pm-4pm. Come down to the Club to join in the fun!

Flexible membership

We have annual and short-term membership options, and welcome new members who are either new to tennis or returning after being away from the game for a while.  Talk to us about an option that suits you, or see our membership options page

Quality facilities

The club is set in a peaceful reserve area (Elliot reserve), with a spacious club house that is home to many social events.  There are six floodlit courts, all with astro-turf surfaces, and generous spacing between the courts.  Three of our courts boast new surfaces, whilst the other three are targeted for replacement.

Social and competitive tennis

Whilst we are proud of our reputation as a friendly club that aspires to high standards of sportsmanship, that does not stop us from being fiercely competitive on court, and we punch above our weight in the regional interclub competition. In addition, we offer our members the chance to compete against the best players in the club for a chance at Club Championship honours.  Our courts have seen some epic battles over the years!
